I specialize in appellate law/petitions for judicial review and writs of mandate. Although I am relatively new to Washington (2017), I have been practicing in California since 1997. I have litigated well over 100 appeals and have argued more than 70 times in the California appellate courts and Ninth Circuit. The majority of these cases have been in the area of public employment and other aspects of municipal law, but appellate attorneys have the ability to take on cases in almost any area of law. I have also litigated hundreds of petitions for judicial review from administrative agency decisions (in California this is called administrative mandate), and public records act matters. I also litigate to a lesser extent administrative appeals. While I have only been in Washington since 2017, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise that can only come from practicing for many years, excellent research and writing skills, and I feel at home in a courtroom. I have earned a solid reputation from hard work, honesty with my clients and the court, maintaining good relationships with opposing counsel, and enjoy what I do.
